My Approach
My professional and personal experiences have taught me that it is essential to foster a caring and safe space between the consulting individual and the practitioner in order to maintain or develop certain skills. With this in mind, I strive to create an environment where the consulting individual feels confident and actively participates in their own development process. Thus, I strongly encourage the exploration of needs and the recognition of strengths to support the emergence of skills that promote self-assertion and autonomy.
I believe that the consulting individual is the expert of their own life and is best suited to describe their lived experiences. I adopt a supportive approach by respecting the person’s pace, cultivating a non-judgmental and open attitude.
My approach also considers the effects of stress, discrimination, stigmatization, and oppressive systems experienced by consulting individuals. I use a cognitive-behavioral approach combined with an intersectional feminist perspective to provide guidance tailored to the diverse realities of each individual.
